HOW TO BOOK YOUR SPA HOLIDAY

Our holidays are all tailor-made to your specifications re: duration, treatment programme and meal plan. Please phone our knowledgeable reservations team to discuss your requirements for your spa holiday, and they will be able to guide you as to which resorts will fit your requirements whether you are looking for a few days in the sun relaxing, a specific programme (eg beauty, detox or weight loss) or a specific type of treatment (e.g.Thalassotherapy,Ayurveda or Fangotherapy).

Erna Low body and soul holidays aim to make booking your spa holiday as easy as possible.

WHAT YOUR HOLIDAY INCLUDES:

As we offer such a wide variety of spa holidays, what is included varies considerably depending on the type of spa resort you visit. Before you book your holiday the reservations team will be able confirm to you what your package includes. But for reference the following will give you a general ‘rule of thumb’ as to what is included

depending on the type of spa:

Packages at the Health Farms in the UK and Destination Spas worldwide will include full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner) for each day of stay, full use of the facilities i.e. gym, pools and access to the daily programme of exercise and relaxation classes (though there may sometimes be an extra charge the more specialist classes) generally some treatments will also be included.   At most Destination Spas and Health Farms, if you know that you would like more treatments than those included in the programme, these should be booked in advance of your arrival at the resort.

At Thalassotherapy Spas, Thermal Spring Spas and Medical Spas, the package will often include full board or half board (breakfast and one main meal – lunch or dinner), as well as a programme of treatments, and use of the facilities i.e. gym, pools, sauna etc. There may be daily exercise classes available, and these may be included in the price of your package, or they may be at an additional cost depending on the policy of each spa.  The medical consultation at Thalassotherapy centres is usually not included and should be paid for directly to the hotel. Again if you know that you would like some additional treatments to supplement your spa programme (e.g. beauty treatments such as facial, manicure, hair styling), these should be booked in advance of your arrival at the resort.

At most Spa Hotels and Resorts, we can offer packages including as little or as much as you want! Packages can (usually) be on a breakfast only basis or including daily half or full board. A full daily programme of treatments may be included, or a programme for a just a couple of  days, or you can choose as many or as few treatments as you require on an ‘a la carte’ basis from the treatment ‘menu’ offered by the resort.  Treatments should be booked in advance of your arrival at the resort.

FLIGHTS

Our holidays generally include return flights from the UK and (in most cases) return transfers from/to the airport to/from the hotel/resort.

However, if you prefer to book your own flight, we are happy to book your holiday on a ‘land only’ basis. We can also arrange car hire for you rather than a transfer, if you would prefer the flexibility that having your own transport affords. Please also note that our example prices are based on a particular class of seat with any airline, if that particular class is not available, and we must book in an alternative class – there might be a slight increase (or decrease) in the cost of the holiday from that shown on the website – however you will be informed of the price before you make the decision whether to book or not. (Last minute bookings – within a month of departure – tend to be more liable to an increase in flight cost than those booked 2 or more months in advance).

Please note that most flight tickets once issued (when you have confirmed your booking with a deposit) cannot be changed without payment of cancellation charges and/or of a replacement ticket. If you would like greater flexibility of travel arrangements and/or more in-flight comfort, we offer the opportunity to upgrade your flight to Business or Club Class, at an extra cost.

OTHER ACTIVITIES:

Our website shows ‘Also Available’ activities available at each spa – in most cases, these will be at an additional cost and may not be available on site, but require a short journey by taxi or car, there may or may not be complementary transport arranged by the hotel. Some activities are also subject to availability and weather dependent. If there is a particular activity that you would like to take part in while on your spa holiday, please speak to the reservations department before confirming your holiday so that we can check that it will be available during your stay, and what the additional cost will be.

BOOKING YOUR SPA HOLIDAY

Planning your holiday, and checking availability:  To help you decide which spa is best for you, the example prices shown on the website are a good indication of what the cost of a stay at each particular resort will be during the low season, but given all the possible variations, please contact us to discuss your requirements, to check availability of flights and accommodation and to get a ‘no obligation’ quote for your spa holiday. (tel: 020 7594 0290 or e-mail:spas@ernalow.co.uk)

Holding flights: If you are interested in the holiday and would like some time to consider our offer, or to discuss the holiday with a friend etc our reservations team will be happy to put the suggested flights on ‘hold’ for up to 48 hours where possible. Please note it is not possible to hold flights when using a ‘low cost’ airline, nor if the holiday is being made within 4 weeks of travel, nor for very high season dates such as Christmas/New Year. In these cases our quote can not be guaranteed beyond the day that it was made, and the price of your holiday may change slightly from that quoted at the time of booking due to changes in flight costs.  The price will always be confirmed to you before you book.

Confirming your booking: If you are happy with the price and would like to confirm the reservation, then we will require a 25% deposit at the time of booking. This can be made by credit card, debit card/Switch, cheque or banktransfer, but please note that we do charge a 1.5% surcharge on credit card transaction. If paying by cheque, please provide us with a valid credit or debit card number to guarantee the booking. If we do not receive your cheque within 4 days, we reserve the right to debit the card as per our booking conditions. Please note when making a reservation over the phone, it is your responsibility to ensure that you have read, understood and accepted our booking conditions before confirming the reservation. Written confirmation will be sent out to you, and we ask that you check that the details on the confirmation invoice are as required, including the spelling of your name, and inform us within 5 days if there is anything that needs amending.

Payment of the Balance: The balance is payable 10 weeks before you are due to depart. You will not be sent a reminder and we reserve the right to cancel your holiday if payment is not received.

Tickets and travel information: Approximately 2 weeks before you travel, we will send you your tickets, accommodation vouchers and other travel details. On receiving your information, if you have any queries about your holiday, please contact us by phone or e-mail.
