At CSE, they believe that food lies at the very heart of good living – not just in terms of physical health, but also in the larger scheme of enjoying each day. Therefore they do not stipulate calorie-counting diets, but foster a balanced approach, encouraging guests to enjoy their food and its creation while maintaining a life-long interest in the benefits of good nutrition. CSE has developed a particular cuisine, available at all meals. It is organic, sourced locally, and is delivered from field to table with minimum delay. Meat, fish and vegetables are all featured allowing guests to eat healthyly whatever their preferences. The cuisine is influenced by many tastes; from South Indian spices to subtle Italian. Balinese cooking also appears on the menus.

Additional Information

Physical activity is particularly compelling at CSEowing to the retreat’s location in rural Bali. Active Adventure Challenges include mountain biking, hiking, climbing, rowing, whitewater rafting and outdoor circuit traning utilising the nearby mountains, volcanoes, rivers and back-country tracks. Swimming and tennis are available on site. Cultural activities include excursions to local temples, ceremonies, markets and galleries. Special Cultural Workshops might include sessions in Balinese dance, photography or writing.
