Spa Details

‘Ananda’ is ancient Sanskrit for happiness and self-contentmet and this is embodied in this tranquil part of India. High above the river Ganges, Ananda is situated in a 100 acre estate of the Maharaja Teri-Garhwal.

The 21,000 square foot spa with 20 treatment rooms offers an extensive menu of over 79 body and beauty treatments, integrating the traditional Indian systems of Ayurveda with the more contemporary Western spa approach. There is also a sauna, steam room and hot and cold plunge baths

With unique focuses on the traditional Indian sciences of Yoga and Ayurveda, the personalized therapy and activities programs is designed to meet individual needs and health goals – de-stress, detoxification and cleansing, deep relaxation, anti-aging, toning and weight loss, while also offering guidance in the areas of nutrition and exercise.

Ananda Yoga helps guests (both beginners and experienced participants) to enhance physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being using three branches of Yoga: Hatha, Kriya and Raja. Drawing from a wealth of spirituality and ancient healing arts, Yoga at Ananda is an experience that is highlighted by the environment – the Himalayan Sal Forest, overlooking the river Ganges and the holy town of Rishikesh.
